These passion fruit flowers (Maracuja in Portuguese) don’t bloom for long. While walking to and from school in Brasilia, I caught a glimpse of this beauty. I almost didn’t stop, as I was trying to beat a rain shower home.
I also accidentally captured a little butterfly enjoying the pollen. The next day, when I went to find the vine, it had already closed up and was forming the fruit.
It made me think of how many times I put off saying or doing something that can bring a little bit of joy into someone’s day. Often, it’s too late. I’m learning to seize the moment and not put off tomorrow what can be done today.
