Living in Brazil during COVID meant that for our two-year assignment, we were only able to explore a few places. The Iguazu Falls trip was bittersweet as we intended to vacation there with my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary, but lockdown closed down the parks, and our tickets were canceled. Once restrictions were finally lifted, my husband and our boy kiddo made this trip of a lifetime.

As we walked the trails, hearing the sound of water, I was reminded of this verse from Psalms 93 v 4 (ESV)

Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty!

I can still remember the sound of the thundering waters. As we got closer to the falls, the noise was almost deafening! It was a reminder that God is so much bigger and greater than all of this. To be able to stand in awe of this beautiful creation is something I will never forget!
